US STOCKS: Prices of index futures ebb further just ahead of the NY opening as concerns over Europe gain some steam. June Dow futures were last down 57 points, S&P 500 futures off 8.10 points and NASDAQ futures down 13.50.

US TSYS/EGBS: Treasuries gain higher still, on Bunds gains tied to peripheral EGB jitters (see 9;08 bullet); cash 10Y note yield is 1.645%.

DOLLAR-YEN: Continues heavy and extends losses to Y79.40 in light dealings. On the downside demand seen at Y79.35, through here opens technicals at Y79.29 from the 21 Day MA, ahead of strong bids at Y79.20 with stops set.

US STOCKS: Technicians note Sep S&P 500 futures have sliced through a number of chart support points, but are holding above 1293.30, the next area to watch on a break. Added support was noted at 1269.40, then at 1252.70. Resistance is seen at 1319.40. Sep S&Ps were last quoted at 1312.00.
