GREECE: An editorial in eKathimerini says Greece may need to look to the markets
for additional funding to meet the likely larger than expected bank recap costs,
noting ant recall to a bank deposit bail-in to meet costs would likely lead to
the fall of the coalition.

UK PRESS: Lord Lawson, Chancellor under Margaret Thatcher, says he now feels it
is time for the UK to leave the EU, saying benefits will "substantially outweigh
the costs."

UK PRESS: Estate agents Knight Frank says foreign buyers are behind more than

Guardian, reports.

UK PRESS: The Square Mile has started hiring again, as the shock of the Cypriot

Astbury Marsden, firms in the City hired a net 2,600 people in April, up 19% on
month, to the highest monthly total since October 2012.

KOREA: North Korea has taken two missiles off launch-ready status and moved them
from their position on the country's east coast, wire reports say citing unnamed
US officials. The move comes after weeks of concern that Pyongyang had been
poised for a test-launch.

KOREA: North Korea appears to have lifted its highest combat alert issued in
March and completely withdrawn two mid-range missiles from its east coast,
Yonhap News reports citing a senior South Korean government source.

EURO SUMMARY: Euro-dollar closed in NY Monday at $1.3077 after recovering off a

seen a high earlier in the day of $1.3141. A slow start in Asia, with main focus
on the RBA rate decision (cut 25bps into Europe), saw rate eases off to $1.3068
before recovering through the balance of the overnight session to a high of
$1.3090, trading around $1.3083 into Europe. Offers seen placed between

STERLING SUMMARY: Cable closed in NY Monday at $1.5540 after recovering off a
session low of $1.5521. The rate had seen highs earlier in the day at $1.5599
before reversing, with the move to the lows seen as rate tracked euro-dollar's
reaction to ECB Draghi's dovish comments. Rate continued its recovery to $1.5553
in early Asian trade before rate settled between $1.5540/50 through the balance
of the session. This tight trading in cable left euro-sterling to track
euro-dollar, the rate having closed in NY at stg0.8414, off a pullback low of
stg0.8400, touching a low in Asia at stg0.8409 before edging up to stg0.8420
into Europe. The London market returns Tuesday after a long Spring bank holiday
weekend. A very light domestic calendar will have market looking for outside
events to determine direction.
Cable support seen at $1.5535 ahead of stronger
interest into $1.5520. Resistance seen into $1.5560 ahead of $1.5580. A break
here to expose the stronger resistance area between $1.5595/1.5610.

YEN SUMMARY: Return of the Tokyo market saw a quick spike higher in the Nikkei,
seen catching up on opther global equity markets, but dollar-yen was seen
squeezing lower. The rate had closed the NY session monday at Y99.34, edged to
Y99.44 in pre Tokyo trade before getting pressed to lows of Y98.83. Importer
demand emerged into the Tokyo fix to correct rate back to Y99.04, with Japan Aso
comments that BOJ easing under Kuroda has been drastic, though admitting that
BOJ easing will take som,e months to take effect, knocking it back to Y98.90.
Continued dip demand allowed rate to recover through the Asian afternoon,
trading to Y99.21. A brief spike down to Y99.05 was blamed on a fat finger
trade, with buyers quickly emerging to settle the rate around Y99.10 into
Europe. Euro-yen tracked dollar-yen moves, the rate initially dropping back to
session lows of Y129.24, from its early Asia high of Y129.99, before recovering
through the balance of the overnight session to Y129.82 into Europe. Japanese
exporter offers seen in place into Y99.50. Importers buy interest expected to
emerge into dips.

AUSSIE: Last at $1.0195, the rate having recovered off lows of $1.0178 after an
unexpected cut in the OCR by 25 bps to 2.75%. Reported demand from Asian

GREECE T-BILL AUCTION PREVIEW: Greece's Public Debt Management Agency (PDMA) is
planning to issue E1.0bln new 26-week Nov 8, 2013 T-bill Tuesday. The auction

the reduction in the 10-year bond yield to below 10% -- the first time since
late 2010. The PDMA will once again allocate an extra 30% of amount auctioned,
in non-comp bids and a further 30% in second day bids, to bring total amount to
be issued to E1.6bln. At the last 26-week T-bill on Apr 12, the PDMA sold

RAGB issue that was first sold via syndication on Apr 10 for E3.0bln at
mid-swaps +8bps, which equated to a spread of +47.2bps versus the 1.50% Feb 2023
Bund. The order book then closed at E3.6bln, with 122 investors. The 1.75% 2023
RAGB currently trades at 1.635% or a spread of +39.6bps vs Bunds. The 1.95% June
2019 RAGB currently trades at 0.810%, and was last sold on Feb 5 for E550mln at
an average yield of 1.29% and then covered 2.48 times. Austria is lagging in its
issuance compared to its EMU neighbours, with the AFFA so far only having sold
E8.35bln worth of bonds this year versus E20.0bln to E24bln planned RAGB bond
issuance target -- around 38% of target. Auction results are due around 0915GMT.
